Rescue: The Amateur Attempt

Posted by Josh (Pasadena, United States) on 20 January 2009 in Animal & Insect.

Well, again it's been awhile: long weeks of traveling, being with friends and family, and unfortunately not getting to this blog! But I know I promised a resolution to the story I started!

While whale watching, our boat received calls concerning a bald eagle that had fallen into the water and was in danger of drowning. Many boats had come and gone, unable to assist. We did what we could, trying to drop a life ring over the poor bird to give it some respite from fighting the cold North Eastern waters. Here is the bird trying to balance on our boat's small ring.
