This is actually my favorite shot of the day, mostly for it's technical details which I like: I love the DOF, the background colors, the fact that he is a little blurred, and the use of space. I was just really proud of this one, but as always comments and criticisms are welcome :)

This is a great shot, Josh. My only thought is it's too bad her hands are missing. But, man! That DOF with those circles of confusion is gorgeous!! Fantastic background color. Very, very nice!

I do like the technical aspects of this as well, but I still prefer the candid shots (they are more alive to me). I agree with Les, I would have liked to see a bit more of her in the shot, and his left hand is a bit distracting with it's positioning. I have enjoyed all these shots - it must have been fun to do....

@Chris: I know, we all have our preferences! I tried to mix the two styles (posed and candid) together, and I guess they chose 2 shots for their cards, one of each! Thanks Chris, I agree a little more of her would have been good, but I have to say I like everything that IS in the picture, it looks casual which I like :)

'Goofing Around' remains my favorite although this is a very good portrait of the more formal kind. The girl has beautiful eyes.

Wow ... lots of good comments here. If she was your focus, I too would like to see more of her ... and not have a tree 'growing' out of her head. He doesn't look nearly as natural and comfortable as in the can did shots.
(He could have put his hand on her arm rather than on his belt.)

@Judy: Thanks Judy, I appreciate your advice! I do think more of her would have looked good, but I think enough of the tree is visible and that its close enough so that it's not a background issue. Just my opinion though! As always, I love the feedback :)

I hate to disagree with my good friend Judy but I don't think the tree looks like it is growing out of her head but rather a tree that they are both resting against. I love the picture and think it is perfect even to the DOF. A very handsome couple. I really loved the playful shot too, but both have their place!!

@Marion: Thanks Marion, I appreciate it and I think I was really trying for a good, balanced DOF shot here, so I'm happy with that result! It's funny how much we really all have our preferences though :)
