Bug's Eye View

So I've been holding out on you guys a little bit...I had an exciting gift on my first day of the trip from my grandpa and uncle, both avid photographers. They eagerly presented me with an old Nikon 28-105mm f/2.8 AF Macro lens, a family hand-me-down so to speak. Needless to say I was overjoyed...macro photography amazes me and then next lens I wanted was a macro. I'm still getting used to it as an all around great lens for normal and macro photography, and it's been a fun challenge since it is only Manual Focus on the D40.

Anyway, here is one of the resulting images of a common house fly relaxing on a backyard chair at Alison's house in Pennsylvania
