A window in the Chinese Garden of Huntington Gardens, where I had the pleasure of going yesterday and playing with my new lens; the Nikon 50mm f/1.8, which I'm pretty happy with. It's a little tough getting used to the manual focus on my D40, but i like the lens' performance.
Also, if you like windows check out Tracey's wonderful Windows Blog. Similarly, I'd like to promote one more blog today, my friend Ben's City Daily Photoblog for Pasadena. Enjoy!

Really pretty. I like the simplicity of this!

@Michael Skorulski: Appreciate it!
ah, 50mm, f/1.8 . . those were the days! I seem to recall that a focal length of around 50mm was, somehow, similar to the unaided view from a human eye. But that was on 35mm film and not a small sensor. Nice 'depth' shot, too.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks, I'm excited about the lens even though it's fairly "simple," there seems to be a lot of good in the fixed 50mm...gotta love the learning process!
nice shot
