ObsoletePosted by Josh (Pasadena, United States) on 8 April 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. This is a picture taken at the Lost Horse Mine in Joshua Tree National Park. The mine was beautiful, ancient, decaying and forgotten...a simple tourist attraction now preserved behind a chain-link fence. The equipment is old and useless now, whereas once it provided a living and a hopeful endeavor for people in this region. As wheels turn so does the greater wheel of progress, leaving behind traces of the past to collect dust and be subject to our cameras.
